Who Is Hiring Teenagers In This Economy?

I have tried: -Supermax grocery store -2 Longs Drugs -2 gas stations -Ace Hardware -Safeway grocery store And more, I'm sure. I don't want to start my own business, since i want to avoid the hassle of dealing with overhead. So does anybody have any ideas as to who would be willing to employ a teenager in this economy?

Answer:Nobody!!!!

How Has Taiwan's Economy Been Doing?

I've been gaining an interest in global economies, and I'm just curious how the economy in Taiwan has been in recent years. Where does Taiwan stand economically in the world? I know that it had a lot of success because of the computer hardware companies in Taiwan. Can someone tell me about it?

Answer:I lived in Taiwan for the past 2-3 yrs Time-wise lemme break this thing into two parts: part one, recent half a year: They had a new president this May Ever since the new president, the stock market has gone down, index dropping from 8800 something to the current 6900-ish this is intriguing because the new president is clearly pan-China, and advocates a stronger economical relationship with China (after eight years of reigning under strong anti-China political stance). The reason why it's intriguing is because many people thought a closer China policies would boost the economy growth, however it's not proved yet that such policies are helpful for Taiwan's economy. part two, past 2-3 years: in the past 2-3 years, the economy grew at a relatively normal pace. However, I'd say the economy didn't grow much as HK, Korea, and other Asia countries, but looking at Korea it also created huge difference between the poor and wealthy. The gap is so great that no one (not really, but) under 35 years old can afford to buy a home. The gap, altho still great, isn't as huge of a problem in Taiwan. The country's economy as a whole should still be ranked somewhere about 12th to 17th place worldwide in my opinion. Yes the computer and high tech industries are still the basis of the country's economy. These industries are still to lead Taiwan for the next perhaps decade or so. Real Estate: It should be noted as well that residential real estate (especially the high end) in Taipei city from 2005 autumn quarter to 2008 spring quarter rose probably 65%, roughly estimating. (that is about 20-25% a year) It is slowing down now, even chilling down a tiny bit. Commercial use real estate hasn't rise that much, but has better prospects than residential use real estate due to the rise of tourism industry, which is the other industry that is worth mentioning. This growth comes from the newly introduced tourists from China. (previously the bar and policies against Chinese tourists to Taiwan was set way too high by the government) peace hope that helps

Will The Economy Kill The Superstore?

Job loss sucks, but one brihgt side that might come out of this is that Walmart, Lowes, and other super PIG HOG scum sucking superstores will go out of business. I remember the local hardware store in my hometown and the electronic repair shop and so on..... I want them back! So that we can all have a chance at owing our own small "hometown" business! What do you think? There's nothing wrong with being successful, but how much is enough??? You wanna take over the world instead of being content with a humble living??? What the heck? I think these guys want to own "people" to have control over. Paid slaves! (minimum wage paid slaves) If superstores went out of business, then local businesses could sell cheaper goods and services..... stop sticking up for superstores... you suck...

Answer:No. The superstore is just a reseller of CHINESE (SE asian) products in near totality now -- and the Chinese will bend/backwards to keep that supply line coming to America, even if they have to slash their/wholesale pricing & adjust their business costs for manufacturing (while we fritter away BILLIONS on dopey banking & "highway construction/ infrastructure"). Basically, we as a country are now DEPENDENT of driving over to Lowes & Walmart & Target etc. for about everything you/we need (actually, not me.. as I live in NYC and we walk to local stores still.. like a hardware store, even though there's a Home Depot and Lowes a 5-min. drive away!!!). We are buyers, and we have needs/wants and still will BUY. Less, sure. But if you need a lightbulb or battery or a new shower curtain, TV or birthday TOY, etc. etc. -- chances are, you know where you're going and that it will be made in China. Of course, in ALL of this.. is the margin/profit on what it is that they sell -- and the diversified Big Box stores will carry on while the low-margin stores that sell Computers and certain electronics...can (and will) be hammered.

Who Will Win In A War India Or United States?

Understand india has 2nd largest army,4th largest air force,5th largest navy. Economy that grows 8% a year. Nuclear weapons, chemical weapons, ICBM that can reach the U.S. Ability to launch spacecrafts. More people than the entire Western Hemisphere. Reaches super power status in 20 years. Has the world 3rd largest economy. Has military hardware to match up against any U.S. made military hardware. Let the games. Note both countries has the ability to destroy each other's country large populations & areas via ICBMs equipped with nuclear warheads.

Answer:India's nuclear capability is very negligable when compared to the United States. They have several dozen low-yield nuclear warheads (less than 100kt). I don't know where you get your information, but I've seen nothing to indicate that they have ICBM capability, maybe MRBM capability at best. To say that their military hardware matches up with that of the US is a bit of a stretch. They don't have an MBT that compares to the M1A2 just to make a prime example. Let's not even compare naval forces, because there's simply no comparison. The USN dominates the world's oceans, and the next 4 navies combined don't have the capabilities of the USN. Their air force is fairly good, but still equipped with mostly older Soviet aircraft, such as the Mig-21 and Mig-23. They do have some newer fighters such as the Mirage 2000, Mig-29, and Su-30, but not in comparable numbers to our F-14,15,16, and 18. Plus the F-22 is coming into squadron service now, and is far superior to anything the Indians have. Basically, in a large scale air/sea/land conflict, the US would win. Not easily, but win nevertheless.

Do You Think The Economy Is Getting Better I Think So Details Inside?

I work in retail for the last six years. I have seen sales go up and down. The store I work at now I have been there two and half years. We did not make our goals at all for the last two years but this last Christmas we blew our goals out of the water and made up a 200,000. Deficit in one month. This year we are making double and triple what we did last year or the year before. Today July 4, 2006 we more than doubled our goal from last year. We were so under staffed because they staff bases on what the business was like last year we did not except or were not ready for all the people today. Is it just us or is everyone experiencing a economic boom no i don't work for Walmart i rather not say where but i work for a High End furniture and specialty store like Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware etc.

Answer:NO. INTERESTS RATES ARE RISING, HOUSING STARTS ARE FALLING ALONG WITH HOUSE PRICES. OIL AND GAS ARE RISING IN PRICE. THE DEBT RATIO FOR CONSUMERS IS RISING. THE AVERAGE DEBT PER PERSON IS AROUD 37000.00 EACH AND DOES NOT INCLUDE MORTAGES. CAR PRICES ARE STABLE BUT DEALERS HAVE TO OFFER GREAT INCENTIVE TO GET PEOPLE TO BYE THEM. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST MORE COMPANIES ARE LAYING OFF PEOPLE AND THEY ARE CUTTING MEDICAL AND MOST OF THERE PENSIONS FOR THE EMPLOYEES. STILL THINK THE ECONOMYIS GETTING BETTER?
