How Exactly Did Paul McGann Dress As The Eighth Doctor Who?

Right, I need a smart-ish outfit to wear, and I've fallen in love with the look Paul McGann has as the eighth doctor. I think 'the look' is best displayed here (sure it's a cartoon, but they are real clothes (I assume...)): http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/doctorwh3.jpg But what I want to know is, exactly what is he wearing? I mean, I need a list of all the things in enough detail for me to find and buy them... 'A green velvet tailcoat A ruffly tie thingy* A golden-shiny waistcoat' *corrent terminology is a wonderful thing, isn't it? There's another picture here: http://quizfarm.com/images/1112293701dmcgann5.jpg There must be some clothing geniuses around! Thanks! Just to clarify, I want a list of the items he's wearing, not a location at which I might purchase them.

Answer:Okay I hope this makes sense in my weird & wonderful terminology! He is wearing a medium/long length (depending on your height will determine how great this looks!) evening jacket (say jacket but you mean outer wear coat) in a crushed velvet deep moss green. On the end of the sleeves there are 3 green buttons. The cravat (ruffly tie thingy) is (I believe) an Edwardian styled pewter (its the metallic look that gives it the gold appearance) green cravat. The waistcoat should be in the same pewter green colour with a slightly darker green pattern in swirls. There are two sets of dark brown/black small buttons. Also just in case he has a gold Victorian fob watch, white shirt and black shoes. I'm not sure whether the trousers are a green or lightish brown. I hope this helps you out! I'm not sure what you've got in your area in terms of clothes shops but if you don't want to spend too much then try the charity shops and/or hire some of the more pricy items. If you've got a good tailors near you then they will be able to help you out and even if they don't have what you want will probably know where in your area you can. Good luck with whatever you find!!!

Tell Me About The Eighth Doctor In The Doctor Who Continuity...?

I used to watch Doctor Who (mainly the Baker/Davison ones) as a teen and knew a good bit about the prior and post 4/5 Doctors even though I didn't see too many of those episodes. I've recently gotten back into Who with the Eccleston series, which I love. I dimly remember a badly received TV movies in the mid-90s...is this the Eighth Doctor? I can't find a DVD of that movie to check it out, but I'm finding there's a lot of non-TV continuity in the books and audios that includes this Doctor so if someone could point me to a good capsule description of him and his place in the continuity (and maybe a summary of what happened in the movie) I would be very grateful!

Answer:Wikipedia's great for TV shows with cult followings. Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eighth_Doctor Wikipedia. It's bigger on the inside!

Is There Going To Be A Second Dr WHO Movie With The Eighth Doctor Paul McGann.?

I here rumours that Geoffrey Sax the director of the 1996 movie and writer Matthew Jacobs were in talks with ether BBC WORLDWIDE or the FOX NETWORK, is this true or not and if it is i like to see the movie all about the TIME WAR as we keep hereing about it in the Dr WHO T.V. series. And is Billy Pipper comeing back in the second movie.

Answer:None of of their Internet Movie Database pages indicate that they plan on all filming a sequel to the 1996 Dr. Who movie and the Wikipedia page for the movie doesn't indicate any plans for a sequel. Sorry. Many fans, probably from the UK, would like a sequel about the Time War but you would probably need to regenerate interest in the movie again.

Doctor Who: Is There Any Record Of How The Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann's Doctor) Dies?

How does Paul McGann's Doctor regenerate to Christopher Eccleston's Doctor. (Doctor Who Series)

Answer:Although McGann played the Doctor on screen only once, he has reprised the role of the Eighth Doctor in an extensive series of audio plays by Big Finish Productions and was treated as the "current" Doctor by the majority of fandom until Christopher Eccleston assumed the role in 2005. McGann continues to play the Eighth Doctor on audio. It looks like no official story of the reason for the 8th doctors regeneration exists - consider the following footnote from another page: Paul McGann did not return to film a regeneration scene, nor was a regeneration scene filmed with another actor to link between the 1996 television movie and the 2005 series (although in an interview for the British magazine SFX he claimed that he was "more than happy" to return to film such a scene). No reason is given for the Doctor's regeneration into his ninth incarnation but some fans assume that this was a consequence of the Time War.
