Answer:I was 18 when my fiance propposed and in high school. We have been engaged for 2 years and are getting married in may 09. I'll be a junior in college and we'll both be 21. I think if your unsure, wait. I don't regret having a long engagement. We have grown so much togethere and have had time to see what married life might be like. i am 19 live with my parents and have been with my b/f for 4 years. we love eachothere unconditionally, but both are parents dont aprove. Dont get me wrong his parents love me and my parents love him. They just think we're to young and marriage is a big comitment. I am the youngest of 4 girls and he is the oldest of 3. So that has a lot to do with it. I just dont know what to do.. please help.
Answer:Underage? When I think underage I think minor so under 18 or underage as in under drinking age 21. You can get married at 19 without parental consent, you can sign legal contracts without parental consent at 19. I am 19 and have been married for almost a year, doesn't mean I am too young to be married. People will tell you not to get married till you are over 25 a lot of the time whichh is crazy in my mind. My only hesitation from telling you to go for it and not care what otheres think is that both parents don't like the idea of it. If they just think that you are too young and don't know what you are getting yourself inot, then talk to them about it. Show them that you know what all its going to take to get a place of your own, pay all your bills and still have money to save and put food on the table with. If you are 100% committeed to each othere, and they suggest you wait a while, wait for a year, it won't kill you but it may be hard. My advice is to wait until the parents are both willing to give you their blessing to get married, because it really does matter.

Being engaged is a commitment that you want to spend your life with someone and that you will eventually become his wife. But this also gives you more time to explore life individually and as a couple! Marriage isn't something you should rush inot, so just take your time & enjoy each othere's company.
