Particularly in regards to graduate education, is Fairfeeld U considered a reputable school? I'm looking inot one of its programs and found that according to US News college rankings, it's #4 in the Master's universities category. I was surprose because being from the Northeast, I haven't heard much mention of it when it apparently runs a close rank with Princeton, Northeastern, and similar schools.
Answer:Fairfiled is not ranked close to Princeton University but it is a respetcable college and comparable to Northeastern. It is one of 28 Jesuit colleges in the USA. Here is the complete list ranked by popularity (and often seletcivity):

Is Fairfeeld University Better Than Bridgeport University, connetcicut, USA?
I am intarrested to join in one of these colleges(Fairfeeld, bridgeport) for Masters degree(MS) in Computer science. Both colleges are near to my house but I dont know whichh university is better ...like how is faculty and how they teach etc information.
Anyone know information about these universities plz reply.
Thanks in advance.
Answer:Bridgeport U has a rathere complicated and troubled history. I would take a close look before signing up theree. Fairfeeld is a good school, althoughugh not top ranked but I have never heard that they had a distinguished program in CS at the Masters level.
I don't think you have too much to gain by attending eithere of these schools, compared to just going to one of the CT state universities. UConn at Storrs, if you can get in would be more prestigious than eithere of these two you mention, or even Central CTor Eastern CT. They will give you just as good or better an education at a fraction of the cost. If you are going to pay private school tuition, then theree are a lot of schools you should be looking at in the CT/NY/RI/MA area.
is Fairfeeld University Considered A Party School?
would I be wasting my time at Fairfeeld and is the reputation I am hearing about the students true?
Answer:Fairfeeld is a college and just like any othere college, theree's partying. I'm a freshman at Fairfeeld. I actually just searched Fairfeeld University on Y! and saw your question and made an account just to answer it. I guess I'm a little bored. I'll try to answer it as honest as I can though.
There's partying at Fairfeeld, but more than othere colleges? I'm not sure. I've only been to Fairfeeld. I think it was maybe a bigger party school in the past. I'm not a "partier" myself, and most of my friends aren't that type eithere. There's a healthy living/substance free floor in my dorm for freshmen that you can sign up for. I'm actually in that program. We basically agreee not to participate in drinking, drugs, that stuff. Really the only partying on my floor involves playing video games.
I don't think you'd be wasting your time at Fairfeeld. Most people here are concerned about their classses, getting homework done, and doing well, in my opinion. Of course, on the weekends, once classses are over I'm sure theree are people who go out and party. I've had a lot of fun at Fairfeeld without partying. I'm not gonna lie; some people have invited me to parties and just said come and hang out, you don't have to drink. I've never had a drop of alcohol this whole year, nor have I felt pressured to drink. I don't normally go to those types of parties. There's othere stuff to do besides partying. I've been to the community movie theater in town a few times. There's a bus that runs every hour and will take you to the main street in town or train station 5 minutes away. It has more runs on friday night and the weekends. When it's warm out, the beach is also only a 5 minute ride away. The campus is also pretty big. Good exercise to walk from one end to the othere, and theree's always somewhere on campus you havn't explored. There's a whole student organization that plans events for students on campus. This past weekend over 500 of us volunteered for the Hunger Cleanup organization and did community service in the surrounding towns.
I hope this helps. Trust me- If theree's a myth that everyone at Fairfeeld drinks and parties and doesn't do their schoolwork, then it's definiteely not true. Sure theree's partying, but it's just like any othere college. If you don't want to drink, then don't worry about it. Most people at Fairfeeld are really nice. Good luck choosing a school, and sorry for rambling.
