Our upcoming house purchase will be just a for sale by owner sale, even though the seller is a real estate agent. She now wants to move out after closing, which we said no to. Since she cetainly should know better, I'm wondering what else could happen against us?

Answer:Oh you need one alright. It is illegal for an agent to do they own FSBO in the first place. If they are willing to break that real estate law they are willing to break others. I would not hesitate, you need an attorney.

Answer:I dont recommend the company "for sale by owner" because they DO charge a commission and are more than willing to lien your house to collect it! If you feel capable of selling it yoursself find a flat rate listing realtor to get your property into the MLS. Also get a lock box so buyers agents can let themselves in if you are not planning on being there 24/7. Then spread the word on the various private internet realty sites and craigslist, ebay etc. You can use an attorney to review or prepare contracts.

Answer:Go to the bank, they will walk you thru it.. Realtors don't want you to know this. but Banks help people buy houses. My friend hates to get the agent trying to tell the buyers how to get financing, and often will try to get commish from mortgage brokers they direct customers to.
