Why Should I Use A Real Estate Attorney In A For Sale By Owner Sale?

Our upcoming house purchase will be just a for sale by owner sale, even though the seller is a real estate agent. She now wants to move out after closing, which we said no to. Since she cetainly should know better, I'm wondering what else could happen against us?

Answer:Oh you need one alright. It is illegal for an agent to do they own FSBO in the first place. If they are willing to break that real estate law they are willing to break others. I would not hesitate, you need an attorney.

Answer:I dont recommend the company "for sale by owner" because they DO charge a commission and are more than willing to lien your house to collect it! If you feel capable of selling it yoursself find a flat rate listing realtor to get your property into the MLS. Also get a lock box so buyers agents can let themselves in if you are not planning on being there 24/7. Then spread the word on the various private internet realty sites and craigslist, ebay etc. You can use an attorney to review or prepare contracts.

Answer:Go to the bank, they will walk you thru it.. Realtors don't want you to know this. but Banks help people buy houses. My friend hates to get the agent trying to tell the buyers how to get financing, and often will try to get commish from mortgage brokers they direct customers to.

They are trying to save THEMSELVES money by avoiding the real estate agent's commission. Commercial properties can be complicated. You may need an environmental study and other information to obtain a mortgage. If you have never bought commercial property before, you may spend a lot of time and money trying to get everything right, and you will probably need an attorney -- who may cost you a good part of what you hope to save by avoiding a realtor's commission. Looking for acreage plus house/outbuildings in Boundary County Idaho. Other than checking papers and placing an ad, how do you locate them. We have been researching on the internet for a week and can't really zero in on "for sale by owner" sites/ads. The real estate companies want to push the property they list and won't tell you even if they know of any.
