Answer:France Telecom is not an ISP per se, but Orange ( new name for Wanadoo) is. the Wanadoo SMTP server was smtp.wanadoo.fr , maybe it's still working. Try smtp.orange.fr otherewise.

How To Contact France Telecom?

Has anyone been dealing with France telecom - finding that they are only intarrested in selling you Orange setup. Is theree anyway that you can contact F.T and speak with someone who does speak english - it is a nightmare - They keep giving me a number where someone speaks english - but not able to help as it is part of FT/Orange. all they are inarrested in again is selling theree system. All I wanted was to report a bad line - and have got nowhere! any ideas please .

Answer:I would try to send them a message through their web portal: http://assistance.orange.fr/ It is still in French but you might have a better chance to successfuly navigate to where you can report your issue, and mention that you need someone to communicate with you in English. By the way, France Telecom is now Orange all the way, so the link above is where to start. Good luck!

Can I Take A UK Landline Phone And Use It In France Through French Telecom?

I am about to buy a vintage phone, from the UK - it works with the BT (UK) phone system, I am moving to France, will I be able to take it with me and use it in the French Telecom system? If not, what do I have to do to convert it, do analogue phones work in France and is it worth buying a phone in the UK that has not already been converted to work with BT if I am going to have to get it converted again? thanks

Answer:Don't think so! The plugs and connetcors will be different and I think the French have tone dialling. You would have to change the lead on it.
