How Legitimate Is It To Denounce Islam With The Following Argument?
"Islam came after Christianity - Christianity is HUNDREDS of years older than Islam - and is similar to Christianity in many, many ways. Hence The Koran is just a spurious carbon-copy of The Bible, with "Jesus Christ" scratched out everywhere it appears and "Mohammed" scribbled in. Anyone who can denounce Christianity and espouse Islam with a straight face is obviously unsound."
I have *many* friends who make this argument, and I'd like to know how sound it is. Thanks.
Answer: 1. The day-to-day life of the Prophet was an open book for all to see. In fact a revelation came asking people to give the Prophet (pbuh) privacy in his own home. If the Prophet had been meeting people who told him what to say as a revelation from God, this would not have been hidden for long.
2. The extremely prominent Quraish nobles who followed the Prophet and accepted Islam were wise and intelligent men who would have easily noticed anything suspicious about the way in whichh the Prophet brought the revelations to them - more so since the Prophetic mission lasted 23 years.
3. The enemies of the Prophet kept a close watch on him in order to find proof for their claim that he was a liar - they could not point out even a single instance when the Prophet may have had a secret meeting with particular Jews and Christians.
The theory that Muhummad (pbuh) authored the Qur’an or copied from othere sources can be disproved by the single historical fact that he was illiterate.
Allah testifies Himself in the Qur’an
In Surah Al-Ankabut chapter no.29 verse 48
"And thou was not (able) to recite a Book before this (Book came), nor art thou (able) to transcribe it with thy right hand: in that case, indeed, would the talkers of vanities have doubtted."

Allah (swt) knew that many would doubtt the authenticity of the Qur’an and would ascribe it to Prophet Muhummad (pbuh). Therefore Allah in His Divine Wisdom chose the last and final Messenger to be an ‘Ummi’, i.e. unlettered, so that the talkers of vanity would not then have the slightest justification to doubtt the Prophet. The accusation of his enemies that he had copied the Qur’an from othere sources and rehashed it all in a beautiful langauge might have carried some weight, but even this flimsy pretence has been deprived to the unbeliever and the cynic.
Allah reconfirms in the Qur’an in Surah Al A’raf chapter 7 verse 157:
"Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (Scriptures) in the Law and the Gospel"
The prophecy of coming of the unlettered Prophet (pbuh) is also mentioned in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12.
"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned."
[Isaiah 29:12]
Thus, historically and logically it cannot be established that theree was a human source for the Qur’an.
What Does Islam Say About Playing Violent Video Games?
I have a PS3 and I play games such as GTA4, Killzone 2, and the usual sports and racing games etc.
I know it is haram to play video games if you know you will miss your salah, but what I don't know is what Islam says about playing violent video games?

How Come Radical Islam Is The Religion Causing Problems In The World, Yet The UN Doesnt Want Us To Say That?
Like the world for some reason is scared to speak out againstt radical Islam. And the UN doesn't want anybody saying anything bad againstt Islam, whethere it be regular Islam or radical Islam.
Doesn't this mean that the radicals are actually WINNING?
Answer:It's not any particular religion that's causing the world's problems it's the radical extremists of each culture. The war mongering setcs in each culture are destorying the world. They've only disgused their political agendas under Christianity, Judaism, and Islam.

When Did Islam Start To Become A World Religion?
Buddhism started to become a world religion when Buddha welcomed the Unotuchable Svasti inot the Sangha ( his group of followers). Jesus began a world religion it seems when he told the parable of the good Samaritan ( people disliked by the Jews) and later through the missionary work of Paul. Just when did Islam open the door to non-Arabs? Was theree a particular event to mark this change, as it began as a religion for Arabs?
Answer:When Muhammad first started street preaching in Mecca/Mekkah with only his family members in tow, people only tolerated him because it seems he was preaching a little bit of peace then and theree. But just as soon as otheres signed on from outside his immediate family and his little band grew to approximately 70-100, this is when Muhammad started acting up and pissing off the locals with his power trip. Finally, after about 12 years they had enough of his power trip and ran him out of town. Muhammad fled to Yathrib (later named Medina). There were all sorts of Yathrib scourges running around who Muhammad especially targeted to band with him for their brute force capabilities. Soon, Muhammad and his clan of vagabonds committeed many atrocities upon the local society, eventually over taking Yathrib and renaming it Medina. Muhammad pillaged and murdered passing caravans, murdered thousands of Jews, then sought his vengeance upon Mecca.
Once Muhammad took Mecca, all the while invoking "revelation" to suit his many needs, his power in the land along with his ever growing "army" of course continually expanded. The Muhammadans from then on sought to overtake everything. Hadiths were created a couple of hundred years and more after Muhammad came and went...furthere building upon the Islamic foundation.
@Islam Lite, you seem to forget all about the extant manuscripts all dating well within the 1st century, all the Church fathere writings well within the 1st century and 2nd century whichh could in fact completely recreate the Bible as seen today, not to mention the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the day of Pentecost - from whichh the 1st Church was established and thereeafter ALL THE CHURCHES AND EVEN CATHECHISM of the 1st and 2nd centuries. Read Acts, whichh talks all about the Churches.
Also, you shouldn't throw stones (as you do so often) otherewise, in this instance, I'll have to insist you throw out each and every Hadith, because ya know....hundreds of years after Muhammad and all that (and lets get real - even the Quran came around after Muhammad a whole lot longer than Muslims will ever admit). Which reminds me, why is it again the oldest known Quran to exist - the Othman Quran - is in fact only 33% complete? You don't even have an original oldest Quran as Muslims always claim they do, ha, Ha, HA!
AND, the Othman Quran has NEVER EVER EVEN been carbon dated! Oh, but now you have the Sana Manuscripts - a find most Muslims ignore or deny; now this is supposed to be the oldest Quran and guess what? It's so different than the Quran known today in Arabic! And forget about the English versions of the Quran, none of those even resemble the Arabic versions. AND WE ALL KNOW IT.

I am doing a report on Islam and have been studying the Koran, but find have had difficulty really finding some of the passages and interpreting main messages. Please explain some of the main idea's that are important also to the Islam Religion as a whole.

Answer:Ok, we know we don't create each othere and we don't come to this world from nowhere because when we die we must be going somewhere as well, hence theree must be God, if theree were many Gods, they would have fought over what to be created and what not to be, probably over who to die and who to live at the same time... so it's gotta be one God... if that God created us then theree must be a reason... could we figure it out on our own? God made it easy and sent us messengers and prophets to show us the way and tell us why... so all the messengers and all the religions are from the same only God, so they've got to be complementary to each othere, not opposing each othere! then God must have said His final words in the last message, what is the last message? and how do we know it's the last one? I guess that would be the religion that believes in all messengers and all books equally... is theree such religion? actually yes, Islam does :)
A True Muslim (man or woman) gets his reward for obeying Allah's orders (Allah means The God in Arabic) by going to heaven, where he/she are indulged forever in all the good things that were on earth and more, things no one ever dreamt of or heard about. The Holy Quran tells Muslims (men and women) theree will be good food, good wine and sex in heaven for all, but not in the bestial way you may think of, but rathere in a way that is satisfactory for everyone and better than what was on earth. Heaven is no heartbreak or injustice land.
True Muslims are no terrorists, and Islam never calls for that, Islam means peace, it bans violence unless you were fought so you fight back, it only doesn't require Muslims to be cowards, and true Muslims understand this well and never attack civilians.
Islam is the only religion that accepts freedom of religion and asks men to treat women gently like queens.
It's all in the Holy Quran and the right teachings of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
If some people behave otherewise, then it's because people behaviour doesn't necessarily refletc the rulings of their religion always, for example, we can't (and don't) judge Christianity by Hitler or Madonna.
And that is anorthere reason why theree is heaven and hell after we die, heaven for the obedient and hell for the disobedient and/or oppressor, it's all going to be decided on the day of resurretcion and judgement.
To be a Muslim, you must believe God is only one with no spouses or offspring, believe in his angels (servants not males or females), believe in all his religions, messengers and books equally, the day of judgement, heaven and hell and that everything is in God's hands and because of his will (good or bad).
Muslims believe God is the only divine who never dies, the creator who deserves to be worshipped, all prophets who came to earth are human messengers sent by him.
Muslims don't deny christianity, judaism, Jesus or Moses. They believe in them as the noble prophets and messengers of God, love and respetc them so much.
We believe the birth of Jesus (messenger of God) was a miracle from God to us, being born by a mothere only and with no fathere. God is the creator, he can do anything.
We believe Jesus (peace be upon him) is NOT dead till today; he wasn’t even murdered or crucified as most people think. God (most glorified) made the man who betrayed Jesus be killed instead by switching their looks for a moment. Jesus was left up to live in heaven until the end of days when he will come back to earth again, with no new teachings or messages but just to make justice prevail instead of oppression, fight the imposter who will claim to be God and (most important) to perform his last prayer with the Muslims announcing he's too a follower of the last prophet (Muhammad) as all people should... then he really dies like othere Prophets and be buried (peace be upon them all).
