Why Do People Consider Jennifer Beals White, And Obama Black.?

I think she identifies more with her white side as well. She is half each. Same is true with Obama, except the othere way around. Why disrespetc her black fathere, and his white mothere? I have made a point of telling people I'm biracial whenever I got the chance. I consider myself 50/50. I identify with my mothere's black background, and my fathere's white. The reason I wrote "they" is because I was referring explicitly about Obama, and Halle Berry, because they are the ones Ann Coulter criticised.
