Is The Twilight Series Just A Teen Ripoff Of The Forever And The Night Series By Linda Lael Miller?

I have read both series and must say the similarities are astonishing! Let me clarify . . . I love Twilight but those of you jumping to say no simply because you love the book are not giving good answers. Twilight is from 2005 but I read the Forever and the Night series in the late 80's early 90's. Both have vampires in love with humans, both have a "conversion." and both have a half human half vampire baby. For goodness sakes if you havent read both series then you are not qualified to answer. If you love Twilight then read the Forever and the Night but don't answer out of loyalty for a book.

Answer:I can see what you are getting at. I remember reading Linda Lael Miller's books years ago and really enjoyed them. Definately many concepts in the Twilight books have been around before. This is an example of one of them (human/vampire romance). There are othere similarites in Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles - the idea of 'good' vampires (whichh are better written btw). I would say that the Twilight books are written more for a young adult audience where the Forever and the Night books are for romance readers.
