What Do You Think Of The "pregnant Man" Thomas Beatie?
Sorry if I didn't spell the name right. I was just wondering if you think it is right to call Thomas a man, what you think of the pregnancies, etc. I don't know why I was thinking about this, but I was wondering what people thought.
Answer:I think its gross.
Dont get me wrong, is a person wants to change their gender then that's up to them.
But I do not think they should able to pick and choose what they want.
If 'he' wanted to be a man, then he should be a full man, pregnancy should have been out of the question.
If 'he' wanted to give birth, then he should have stayed a woman.
is Pregnant Man Thomas Beattie Should Be The President Of The Usa?
i watched the interview of him on
http://pregnant-man.wedding-review.info/pregnant%20man.html
and he seems like a smart intelligent man is a shame he does not come from the u.s.a otherwise he might have a chance anyway tell me what you think
Answer:Okay, first of all: use proper grammar. "Is pregnant man thomas beattie should be the president of the usa?" Come on. Second, Thomas Beattie is not a man. The difference between a man and a woman is that a man has a penis and a woman has a vagina. Unless "he" is a hermie, which I'm not entirely sure if "he" is or not, then technically, (no matter what the state of Hawaii says) it is a woman. And third, HE'S FROM HAWAII you dipshit! It's in the US of A! Jesus! And lastly to answer your question, HELL NO! Our country can't even make up it's mind about whether or not to allow abortion or gay marriage. What makes you think that a transvestite that got knocked up should run our country. People like you scare the piss out of me.
Does Anyone Know When Pregnant Man Thomas Beattie Got Pregnant?

Answer:oh that is sooooooo freaky
What Do You Think Of The Pregnant Man (Thomas, On Oprah Yesterday)?
Im torn between two opinions! When I watched him talking it seemed so normal, and I was happy for him, but then when I think about it, its SO wrong to mess with nature in that way. I just dont know what to think! Im not religious, by the way. So feel free to say what you need to say!
Answer:A woman who has no breasts and facial hair is not a man. While it is great that people choose the trans-gender life style, to each his own, but at the end of the day, this is nothing more than a pregnant woman who has taken some hormones. It is not news worthy.
What Do You Think About 'the Pregnant Man', Thomas Beatie?
On Thursday, Oprah introduced Oregon resident Thomas Beatie to anyone who hadn't yet heard of him. Beatie, a transgender man who is legally male, is six months pregnant with his and his wife's child. La Winfrey called the expectant situation "a new definition of what diversity means for everybody." Reference: http://buzz.yahoo.com/buzzlog/91294 by Molly McCall
Answer:Bella, I am SO glad you asked. i was thinking about asking but didn't want people to attack me for my views.
I'm gay, (and though that doesn't have anything to do with my views I am not really eager to be called a homophobe/bigot etc.)
Legally, Beatie is the first pregnant male.
Ok.
If you ask me and, maybe even some transgendered Males, the fact that Thomas decided to keep his previous organs in tact because he wanted to have a baby is kind of blurry to me. It would seem then that physically he's much closer to a woman who recieved thorough treatment with testosterone. I am perfectly fine with transgendered men and women. I jsut don't know that I agree that Thomas Beatie is really a man based on this situation.
I don't accuse the couple of looking for a loophole just to set some sort of world record.
I don't accuse the couple of anything.
I would just say that if Beatie made the choice to switch from M to F based on his sexual identity, I would expect him and any other transgendered men or women to sort of embrace the responsibility that comes with your gender identity and new body. If people's genders are usually judged by their sexual organs a medicine can only physically do so much. But when they CHOOSE to keep certain organs I must admit some skepticism on my part.
And it is this implied ambivalence in Beatie that most bothers me- NOT transgender operation.
Edit: and in agreement with Ofelia I think that the random 'desire' to have a child in this case is not enough. I haven't necessarily decided that two men or two women cannot properly raise a child, but I'm just bothered that someone would decide to sort of do WHATEVER they want when really, there is another person involved in this situation: The Kid. Why couldn't Nancy (Thomas' wife) have had the child?
And by the way this is not the same as two lesbians wanting to have a child. Transgendered operation are a TADbit more expensive than that. Just thought you might like to know.
Thomas Beatie electrified the world in April 2008 with his announcement that he was seven months pregnant and due to give birth in July. The news made headlines across the globe, but it’s only one chapter in a fascinating saga. Labor of Love reveals Beatie’s unique life experiences: his less-than-idyllic childhood in Hawaii, his feelings of being a young man trapped in the body of a woman, his fight to conceive a child, and the obstacles surrounding the delivery. This astonishing narrative permits an intimate look at a family that refuses to let other people’s definitions of family deter them from creating one on their own terms. Labor of Love is much more than the story of a unique pregnancy and birth — it’s a beautiful and controversial love story about going against the tide, a powerful statement about the evolution of family and identity in the new millennium.
