Which Is The Best Star Alliance Member To Join?

I was wondering whichh is the best Star Alliance member to Join as I currently belong to the Voyager Programme (South African Airways) But my points always expire and I never get to use them despite trawelling a lot in Europe (From the UK) Do an of them not expire? Any help will be appreciated.

Answer:If you live in South Africa, then join SAA's frequent flyer program since you are more likely to fly that airline to places than any othere airline. I think they are now a Star Alliance member. Even if you did not fly SAA to your next destination, as long as you fly a Star Alliance member airline, then you can have those miles credited to your SAA account. That way your account is active and your miles do not expire. I would find out what the expiration policy is on SAA. For United, you must now keep your account active for 18 months or you lose your miles. Sometimes airlines offer you a credit card so that each time you use the card, you earn miles. They usually charge an annual fee so make sure you think about whethere or not the annual fee is worth paying.

How Do I Combine Frequent Flier Miles Between Two Different Airlines That Are Both In The Star Alliance Group?

I have 1000 miles with United and 1000 miles with US Airways. I noticed they are both members of the Star Alliance program. How do I enroll in such a program where no matter whichh airline I fly on in the program, the miles will all end up in one centrally redeemable place? And will it cost me money?

Answer:there's none, althoughugh they are both star alliance you can't combine the miles.

are There Othere Ways To Get Frequent Flier Miles Without Booking With A Star Alliance Airline, Etc?

hi, I'm planning to fly to malaysia in january from canada, so I think I could get a lot of frequent flier miles from something like that, but when I looked on the united airlines website, I have a mileague member card with them, but their flights are like a thousand dollars more than othere ones I've found. Is theree a way to earn miles if I booked off a website like expedia or kayak, etc....so I could save myself a lot of money?

Answer:You can still earn miles without booking diretcly with United Airlines. Just make sure, though, that you will take Star Alliance member airlines. If you find UA's tickets expensive, then try the othere Star Alliance member carriers like (for your route from Canada to Malaysia) Air Canada, Thai Airways, Singapore Airlines, All Nippon Airways, and Asiana Airlines. They are all Star Alliance members and all your flights would earn miles whichh can be credited to your Mileague Plus account with United. You just have to build your itinerary in such a way that you will pass through the hub cities of these carriers. For example, if you're located in interior Canada (whichh means any city othere than the Pacific gateway, whichh is Vancouver), then take Air Canada from that interior point to Vancouver, then take Air Canada again to Seoul, then take Asiana Airlines to Kuala Lumpur. Voila! All your flights are on Star Alliance members and you can be assured that you'd have mileague credit for all of them. Anorthere itinerary could be from interior Canada to Vancouver on Air Canada, Vancouver to Tokyo on Air Canada, then Tokyo to Kuala Lumpur on All Nippon Airways. Just make sure that you quote your Mileague Plus number to your travel agent or to the check-in agent at the airport so that all your flights can be tracked by the Star Alliance Intranet Web.

Obsidian Alliances (Star Trek Mirror Universe, Bk. II)
Average Rating: 4.0
Price: $11.55
Author: Peter David
Manufacturer: Pocket Books
Some say the line between good and evil is narrower than we imagine -- a divide as subtle as a mirror, and perhaps just as deep. To peer into its black, reflective glass is to know the dark potential we each possess, and we cross that obsidian boundary at our peril . . . into a world where we no longer recognize who we are or what we believed ourselves capable of.

In the late twenty-fourth century, decades after the fall of the once-mighty Terran Empire, the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance dominates the worlds that, in another reality, made up the United Federation of Planets. Humanity and its former subject races are now bound together by their shared oppression, slaves to their cruel and brutal conquerors. But a downtrodden few have found the courage and the strength of will to act. Inspired by visitors from another continuum to fight for their freedom, they have rekindled hope . . . and rediscovered an ancient truth: that every revolution begins with a vision.

Star Trek: VOYAGER ® A rebel ship commanded by a former slave named Chakotay attempts to evade pursuit in the Badlands . . . only to encounter a strange ship that was catapulted seventy thousand light-years across the galaxy. On board the craft are two aliens, one of whom has the potential to completely alter the balance of power within the Alliance. But as both sides of the struggle race to get to the stranger first, treachery throws all schemes into a tailspin.

Star Trek: NEW FRONTIER ® Following the Terran Empire's collapse, its longtime rival, the Romulan Star Empire, has absorbed many of the fringe civilizations spread across that part of the galaxy. One of the Romulans' slaves is M'k'nzy of Calhoun, a savage and unpredictable Xenexian who dreams of death . . . and who learns the value of freedom from the unlikeliest of teachers, a Romulan named Soleta.

Star Trek: DEEP SPACE NINE ® One fallen dictator's struggle to regain her power and her position leads to the discovery of a bold rebel plan for a decisive military strike against the Alliance. But while Kira Nerys navigates the dangerous road of politics, sex, and military intrigue that she believes will lead her back to reclaiming the Intendancy, cracks form in the rebel leadership, leading to a showdown that will change the course of the Mirror Universe.

John Williams' lovely and moving score for the sixth Star Wars film brings thirty years of collaborating on George Lucas’ beyond-popular intergalactic franchise to a close. (Is this really the end of Star Wars? Can’t Lucas and Williams work together on a prequel to these prequels? Let us hope so, and that Jar Jar Binks is nowhere near it.) As this music accompanies the most exciting Star Wars film in many a moon, the soundtrack itself is more fun, more evil, more nasty and bumpy. Many of the heroic, anthemic themes woven throughout Episode Three: Revenge of the Sith will necessarily be familiar to any fan of the series, from the "Imperial March" to the main theme. It’s remarkable how stirring the latter can be, no matter how many times you’ve heard it, and even for those who do not have all their money invested in S.W. memorabilia. There is a lot of new music here, and the lush, extensive range of both Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra is on display, most notably in the menacing, percolating "General Grievous" and the rousing "New Hope" end theme. --Mike McGonigal
