The Bachelor?

I missed the last episode of this season's "The Bachelor. What happened? I watched a recap and it said that Jenni and DeAnna went home. So who won?

Answer:Brad broke both girls' hearts. They had the ceremony and he said he didn't feel he knew either one well enough and chose not to pursue a friendship. They both cried and left. He's been seen around Austin with a blonde. So maybe both girls are winners - you know, a blessing in disguise. Obviously he isn't ready, or can't commit to a serious relationship. At least he didn't chose one and go thru the "friendship ring" thing.

How Much Would A Bachelor Degree In Finance Cost At A Comunity College?

I am planning to get a bachelor degree in finance and i would like to go to an online college like AIU; they said that it would last about 4 years (associate+bachelor) and that i would have to get an associate first that would cost about $21k + $30k for the bachelor=$51k. Is that a good investment or should i go to a community college? I live in the Saginaw-Detroit area. The bachelor would cost

Answer:You can not get Bachelor's degree in a community college. You can only get Associate degrees. But what you can do is.... Go to community college first. meet a counselor. Tell him you want to get Bachelors in Finance and you want list of transferable units in Finance to a University. You will take courses for 1 to 2 years. These same courses are offered in a University, but cost a lot. You will save a lot of money this way. Then in your second year, apply to University of your choice and complete your Bachelors...which will be 2 more years. You can also apply to Financial aid. You need to be very assertive in getting grants for your tuition. Good luck

What Kind Of Bachelor Degree Do You Have?

Do you have a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Science, or a Bachelor of Business Administration? Also, what was your major within your degree?

Answer:BS Pharmacy...

What Exactly Is The Difference Between A Bachelor Of Arts Degree And A Bachelor Of Science Degree?

For example, if you decide to major in economics, you can get a Bachelor of Arts in economics, a Bachelor of Science in economics, or a Bachelor of Business Administration in economics. What exactly is the difference of all three degrees when the major is the same with all three degrees?

Answer:The "exact difference" depends entirely on what school you go to. There are no absolute rules that everyone must follow so what is a BS at one school may be identical to the BBA at another. That said; traditionally they are not the same degrees but it's not at all about the subject - it's about the general education core requirements and the nature of the application of the subject. You can get a BS in music or art and a BA in biology or math. The Bachelor of Arts (BA) is an academic degree that requires between 75-100% of the coursework be in the liberal arts. In order to get 100% - the major would have to be one of the liberal arts. To get 75% the major would have to be closely interdisciplinary (such as communication) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberal_arts The intent is to make you a well rounded person that is very generally educated with some specialized (major) concentration. The degree is all about "why" of your major and not so much "how". The core/general education (English, Lit, history, social sciences, math, science, arts, etc...) is the foundation of this degree and is the primary focus. The Bachelor of Science (BS) is also an academic degree but requires 50-75% of the coursework in the liberal arts while the remainder can be in the applied/professional sciences or the liberal arts. It tends to be more about "how" of the subject and often requires more quantitative skill (math and stats) than does a BA. The core/general education and the major are given equal attention. The Bachelor of [Subject] is a professional degree that generally requires 25-50% of the coursework in the liberal arts with the remainder in the major. It's very much a "how to" degree as opposed to "why do we..." degree. The Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Education, etc... are examples. The core/general education is secondary to the major course requirements. This one is all about how to do some vocation. In economics: The BA is likely to require more courses in languages, history, literature etc... than will the BS. The BS will require more math and stats and possibly a research study. The BBA with a major in econ will require a basic general education core but about 50% business courses and another 25% in economics specific courses. It's about how to "do" business. A Bachelor of Economics (BEcon) if you could find one would require about 25% courses in general education and the rest in economics and the related methods. But, this is all tradition and not every college follows tradition. The real difference can only be determined by examining the specific degree requirements at each college. In most cases - employers won't care at all. Grad schools may care - if you're going to do an MA/MS in Econ then the more econ courses the better. If you'd want to do an MA/MS in something else then you'd need more of those courses. If you want to do an MBA then the BBA would be the route. Economics is both a social science (liberal arts) and an applied professional field. It can be studied from many perspectives.

What Kind Of Bachelor Degree Is Required For Optometry, Ophthalmology And Dentistry?

I'm not too sure what I want to pursue as a career. Its between optometry, ophthalmology and dentistry. Can I do a certain bachelor for 3-4 years to give me time to decide what I really want to do? Or does each career require a different bachelor degree?

Answer:Since those are all biology/health related fields, the degree of choice is a Bachelor's in Biology. Typically, there will be a concentration attached to this degree. For instance, a pre-optometry student would declare themself as a Biology Major with a Pre-Optometry concentration. All this would mean is that you would have to take certain classes within your biology degree to fullfill the pre-reqs for optometry school. This rule applies to both pre-dent and pre-med students. So yes, one degree would allow you to apply to all three schools, but 2-3 classes might be different within that degree to satisfy the requirements.

Bachelor No. 2

Artist: Aimee Mann

Bachelor No. 2 is the product of a woman whose 40th birthday looms months ahead, and it illustrates how a little seasoning has paid off creatively for Aimee Mann. Always an incisive lyricist, the eloquent singer-songwriter further hones her wordplay to a razor-sharp edge. Her subjects are so adroitly sliced and diced that little blood is shed, though they're permanently cut down to size. "Calling It Quits" targets some cad who is "numbering himself among the masterminds 'cause he's hit upon the leverage of valentines." Not that Mann spares herself from a steely assessment: "I know I had it coming / From a Caesar who was only slumming" she admits in "The Fall of the World's Own Optimist." Though this 13-track collection borrows three songs from its immediate predecessor, Mann's soundtrack to Magnolia, its musical ingenuity and consistency (notable considering five different production teams are credited here) make the scattered redundancies irrelevant. Mann's artistic growth has been evident with each new release, and Bachelor marks her biggest leap forward to date. --Steven Stolder
