How Do I Choose My Dream Job, Working In UNICEF And Others As A Helping Children And Women?
I was a teacher in my country. But now I moved to USA and start learning english and thinking to study second time. But my dream is to help people espeicially to women and children in developing countries. But everybody in USA are telling me that I have to choose easy and good earning because I come here for improve my finance and living. Is there any way I can do both in one time. Please give my some idea guys
Answer:Don't listen to "everyone here in USA".
Easy and good pay? Doesn't exist (well, it's VERY rare). That's the pipe dream of the lazy.
In the end, do what you love to do, as long as you eat when you are hungry, stay dry when it's raining and warm when it's cold, you're okay.
You don't need HDTVs, Fancy cars and a gigantic house.
And there are people in those developing countries who need your help. Live for something to be proud of.

How Can 1 Get Some Job In United Nations Or Its Branches Like Unicef , Unesco,UNFPA In India ?
I mean what qualification 1 must have ? Like, currently i'm pursuing my bachelors in IT. But i wana do job in UNFPA situated in Delhi . In which stream should i pursue my masters so that in future i may be eligilble for gttin job in UNFPA or any of the UN's branches ?
Answer:You need to finish your degree first. You also need to have excellent references who can attest to the quality of your work and character.
The UN also likes staff who have experience training others and working with people with various backgrounds, so look for volunteering opportunities (unpaid work) with NGOs, charities and others so you can get an understanding of their needs and how they work, as well as get experience working with people who do not have IT experience and need training and guidance. This will look very good on your resume or P11.
Are you familiar enough with open source tools to be able to use them or recommend them? What about accessibility issues for people using older software or using assistive technology? The UN also likes people who aren't tied to just one software company -- who know how to use a variety of tools.
Your English skills also need to be excellent to work at a UN agency. Use a spell check and grammar check on your resume and any letters you write for jobs.
Jobs for local hires are usually *not* posted on the main UN jobs web site, but only on the local country office web sites. If you want a job with UNFPA in Delhi, then you need to look at their web site regularly -- that's where they will post job openings for local staff. Also, subscribe to their email newsletter, if they have such. Same for local offices of UNICEF and UNESCO and any other UN office you want to work for -- you want to be able to say what kind of work they do if you are lucky enough for a job interview (it will be what sets you apart from other IT candidates).
What Would Your Job Be Called If You Worked For UNICEF?
I am just a little curious. Are there different ranks in human-rights organizations? I don't know if you would say, "I'm an activist for UNICEF." Also, it seems the title of ambassador only applies to celebrities. :P
Answer:There are different job titles within the UNICEF structure in different ranks, ranging from Administrative staff, Specialists (ie Education Specialist, Gender Equality Specialist, Health and Nutrition Specialist), to Chiefs of different sectors in various posts/countries, through to Executive positions.
You were right though, the Goodwill Ambassador title is reserved for celebrity representatives as mainly an awareness raising tool.
Staff members of UN agencies can be called "international civil servants" which I personally find quite an elegant title.
Hope that helps!
